Our solution is a system mounted in a vehicle that enables the detection of potentially dangerous road damage by measuring the vibrations occurring in the interaction between the vehicle and the ground. Located in a passenger car, the system detects road damage, whereas placed in a tram or train it detects track damage. When it has detected damage, the system automatically remembers the geographic location and sends all the data to a computer or stores it in a database. This solution would be of great benefit to the road authorities as it would enable the creation and constant updating of a database with all locations of potential damage in a particular area.
