A robotic electric lawnmower has been designed that can be used to cut grass and tall vegetation on flat and sloping terrain. The manufactured prototype of the robust robotic lawnmower weighs around 370 kg, and the working diameter for mowing is 700 mm. It is equipped with 180 mm wide tracks that enable the mower to work on uneven and steep terrain up to a slope of 45 to 50 degrees. The mower contains two drive motors with a power of 1.5 kW and one motor for rotating blades for mowing the grass with a power of 3 kW. All motors are connected to a connection voltage of 48 V DC to meet the ELV standard. The lawnmower is equipped with a 30 Ah battery.

For efficient operation of the lawnmower, it is necessary to achieve a high speed of rotation of the cutting blades (knives), because the generated kinetic energy helps to effectively cut grass and other vegetation. During the design of the robotic lawnmower, attention was paid to greater durability and strength of the components, lower total weight of the machine, and easy handling and maintenance.
