The present invention utilizes simple 1,3-bis(N-carbazolyl)benzene and 3,3′-dibromo-2,2′-bithiophene to deposit onto the ITO transparent glass substrate by means of electrochemical copolymerization On the material, P(DiCP-co-DBBT) copolymer was prepared. Then use PEDOT as the cathode, polymethyl methacrylate and acetonitrile, and add lithium perchlorate as the polymer electrolyte to make electrochromic energy-saving windows. The element has a high optical contrast (33% at a wavelength of 635 nm), the coloring efficiency can reach 400 cm2·C-1. The color of the element changes from light blue in the reduced state to dark blue in the oxidized state. This invention only needs to lightly press the switch to adjust the color and light transmittance of the glass. Through the switching of tiny electricity, the windows of the house are like pasting heat-insulating paper of different shades and colors, which can effectively prevent light and heat from entering the room. It is very helpful to save electricity consumption of air-conditioning at home.
