The subject of the invention is an innovative method of packaging chilled products, guaranteeing the safety and quality of these products for a longer period of storage.

The improvement consisted in developing, testing and using in production conditions a method of packaging chilled products in a modified atmosphere (MAP) with carbon dioxide (CO2) emitter. The main role of emitter is to replenish the loss of this gas in the packaging during product storage and to bind leakage from the product.
