ELECTRICAL ENERGY GENERATION ON THE BASIS OF BIOSYNTHESIS IN BACTERIA

The study presents the development of a battery based on the ATP synthesis in bacteria of the genus Geobacter. The developed battery has significant environmental advantages over household batteries, because the bacterial analogue is reusable, does not require heavy production, easy to recycling. This will reduce the harmful batteries types impact on environment. The results of the study allowed to determine the dependence of EMF on the size of the battery, the electrodes composition and materials, which increased the the developed device’s initial characteristics, such as: EMF about 7 V, operation time about  40 days with the 200x20x250 mm battery size, and to create new models and extend their operation time.
