SmartScope is a 127/1500 mm telescope with a built-in camera (wide angle and telescope view) and a touchscreen. It can be used to view and photograph heavenly bodies (planets, nebulae, galaxies etc.) and the horizon (cityscapes, nature) and send the photographs as e-mail attachments.
SmartScope can be installed on various public or private venues such as viewpoints, restaurant and hotel terraces, schools etc. And it can be powered by a solar panel (current solution), a battery or a power socket. The telescope can be activated with coins or paper money, but it can be modified to stay active permanently and display ads.
