This project is developing an innovative gaming console inspired by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TNMT), designed to provide an affordable and customizable solution for video game enthusiasts and fans of the popular series. The central part of our project is a console whose case is made using 3D printing technology, allowing us to incorporate TNMT aesthetic elements into the design, which further enhances the thematic experience. The basis of the system is a Raspberry Pi 4, which runs the RetroPie operating system, which specializes in emulating classic video games, including those themed around Ninja Turtles.

Main components and functions:

  • Housing: Made using a 3D printer, designed in Autodesk Fusion 360, the housing provides a robust and aesthetically pleasing frame that protects the internal components, while also featuring graphics and colors characteristic of TNMT.
  • Screen: The 5-inch LCD screen with 800×400 resolution provides a sharp and clear gaming image, ideal for displaying vivid colors and dynamic scenes from TNMT games.
  • Controllers: The console supports the connection of a joystick via one of the four USB ports, enabling the classic experience of playing TNMT games.
  • Connectivity: With two HDMI mini ports, one AUX port and one Ethernet port, the console can be connected to a variety of devices and networks, providing flexibility in use.
  • Cooling and energy: A small fan is built in for optimal cooling, while the 10,000mAh battery provides long-lasting power, and is charged via the USB-C port.
