The cardboard flower packaging is designed according to the principles of design for recycling and design for reuse. It protects the product during transport, while the opening on the front allows for viewing the contents, airing the flowers and reducing moisture condensation, extending the durability of the packaging and maintaining its protective and sales function. The visual identity is achieved by engraving the motif without using printing, which reduces the carbon footprint and increases the quality of recycled cellulose fibers because deinking is not required. The structure is assembled without the use of glue, so there is no introduction of sticky particles into the paper pulp, increasing the use of secondary cellulose fibers and facilitating the production of new material. Engraving allows for personalization of the packaging, while the message to the recipient can be printed manually on the surface without additional cards. After the protective and sales function is completed, thanks to the perforation, the packaging is simply transformed into a vase using an inserted tube, thereby extending its useful life and reducing waste. The solution is in line with the new European Regulation on Packaging and Packaging Waste.
