This device represents a prototype of a smart device for autonomous lighting control. It is based on the use of a real-time clock (RTC) module, geographical coordinates of the selected location, and an algorithm for calculating sunrise and sunset times. Unlike classic time switches, this solution enables automatic operation without the need for manual adjustment throughout the year. In order for the device to adapt to different user needs, it allows for simple location selection and adjustment of the time shift for switching on and off the lighting. The selected settings are displayed on the OLED screen. For demonstration purposes, a special operating mode has been developed that allows for accelerated simulation of the device’s operation and simpler visualization of its functionality. The solution is intended for use in households, commercial buildings, mining facilities, industrial plants, and other systems where reliable and energy-efficient lighting control is required, with the possibility of further development.
