There are numerous products on the market for removing stains from surfaces in the professional and domestic sector. The range of products offered partly meets the expected requirements for removing specific stains from personal care products, UV creams and shower gels containing polyquaternium. In addition, the intensity of the soiling is deepened by the aforementioned multifunctional preparations in the cleaning process. For the effective removal of the mentioned stains from textiles, a special booster based on sodium dithionite (Na2S2O4) was developed.
In this study, its effect on other surfaces was tested. Since modern cleaning technology requires the use of liquid components, the effect of a reducing agent in liquid state and a multi-surfactant component was additionally tested. The effectiveness of the liquid boosters was demonstrated under laboratory conditions on stubborn specific soiling from shower gels and UV creams on various surfaces. The use of agents for removing specific stains from textiles and testing their effectiveness for other surfaces is the novelty.
