The method measures elevator suspension rope tension using a strain-gauge system mounted in the frame’s upper part, through which rope ends pass, fitted with hemispherical washers and nuts. Deformation under a 450–1000 kg load is transmitted to the controller. Applicable in 1:1 and 2:1 roping with 4–10 radially arranged ropes, easing maintenance above the cabin.
