The project research investigated 140 Dama dama samples from Romania, highlighting the presence of Fascioloides magna (2.86%) and Gongylonema pulchrum (17.86%), confirmed molecularly through sequencing. This is the first report of these parasites in fallow deer in Romania, emphasizing the need for further research and the implementation of parasitological management measures.
