The project investigates the ecological consequences of military activities by applying cytogenetic analysis of plant bioindicators and soil biotests. Results demonstrated mutagenic and cytotoxic effects, including pollen sterility and chromosomal aberrations, confirming the reliability of cytogenetic methodologies as an effective tool for monitoring war-induced environmental stress.
