BIOGRAPHY

Augustin Semenescu has been working as a tutor for students for over 30 years. He is a qualified professor (doctorate supervisor) in ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT, author of more than 50 invention patents and more than 30 innovation patents, from engineering and medical fields, as well as more than 50 books and articles related to management and marketing. Together with Prof. Anton Hadar and Prof. Alexandru Marin, they coordinated the CTT-POLITEH Technology Transfer Center located within IMST, being the owner of the Entrepreneurial Management of Research, Development, Innovation Projects course.

I acted as President of INOVA 2022 International jury, and I was very impressed about the formula of this year INOVA, held in Osijek, about the Invention and Innovation Exhibition, the Business conference with B2B meetings, the Business Plans competition were a lot of young people were present. Among them a large delegation of Ukrainian teenagers who impressed me with their ideas for innovation and their fluent English, as I judge their posters.

Neven Markovic, the CEO of this important event for inventors and innovators organized us a visit to the old town, the wine cellars - where we tasted a lot of wines and plenty of some local dried salami, a “Creativity night”, an Awards program with a special dinner, and the next day a “surprise trip” to the Danube river and an wonderful “fisherman lunch” in a folkloric restaurant.

I participated at INOVA in 2018, and from then, every year, for the quality of the invention show and for the “whole day surprise trip”, but also for the friends I have made every year from all over the world, especially from Croatia, Canada, Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan.

OPEN LETTER FROM INOVA EXHIBITION ORGANIZERS TO UKRAINIAN PEOPLE REGARDING THE HORRIBLE WAR IN UKRAINE

INOVA, International Invention Show, for the last 46 years has brought together inventors from all over the world, celebrating creativity. Celebrating creativity means celebrating Freedom!

Croatian people truly feels and understands the highest value of the freedom. During Croatian Homeland War, the best sons of the Croatian people gave their lives for the Freedom. We have never expected to witness another European nation beeing in a situation to be enforced to give all their highest values and sufferr so deeply for their Freedom… but, it happened!

To the Ukrainian inventors, who has been great INOVA 2021 guests and proud winners of last year's exhibition, to all the Ukrainian children in tears, their sad mothers, their fathers-heroes, Ukrainian brave Army, Ukrainian State leaders, we want to express Croatian deepest admiration, all our love, support and prays for the victory in this horrible war and eternal happiness in the free and sovereign European Ukraine!

SLAVA UKRAINI

INOVA is a traditional national exhibition of inventions which since 1971 has been regularly displaying the best of the technical inventive work in Croatia. INOVA is encouraging and symbolizing the innovative spirit in Croatia.

INOVA started 1971 as a small regional invention show held in Zagreb Technical Museum. A group of enthusiasts started with a romantic dream to establish a huge international invention show in Zagreb.

Over the past 50 years of its existence INOVA has brought together, promoted and presented to the public thousands of domestic and foreign inventions.
