This innovation introduces functionalized ceramic membranes integrated into a hybrid ozonation–membrane filtration (HOMF) reactor for the degradation of persistent pharmaceuticals in secondary effluent. By merging catalytic ozonation with selective membrane separation, the system achieves higher pollutant removal, reduced fouling, and energy-efficient wastewater treatment, advancing water reuse and sustainability
