This study proposes an automated drainage fluid measurement and recording system integrating automated display technology with the Internet of Things. Utilizing LoRaWAN, the system enables nursing stations to monitor real-time data and historical logs. This approach ensures consistent, automated measurements, eliminating the need for nurses to visually inspect drainage bags.

The system utilizes specialized sensors capable of measuring, displaying, and storing data across varying fluid flow rates. Driven by an M5Stack Arduino ESP32 and a LoRa module, the system transmits measurement data to a central console at the nursing station, which comprises a Raspberry Pi 3 and a 7-inch touchscreen. This setup provides physicians and nurses with crucial biological data (such as urine output), enabling immediate clinical intervention at the first signs of patient deterioration.
