The present invention uses simple 9,9′-(5-(triphenylsilyl)-1,3-phenylene)bis(9H-carbazole) (SimCp) and dithiophene (BTP) to deposit by electrochemical copolymerization. On the ITO transparent glass substrate, P(SimCp-co-BTP) copolymer is prepared. Then PEDOT-PSS is used as the cathode, poly(methyl methacrylate) and acetonitrile are added, lithium perchlorate is added as the polymer electrolyte, and the electrochromic energy-saving window is made. The component has a high optical contrast at a wavelength of 637 nm (36.4%), the coloring efficiency can reach 372 cm2·C-1. The color of this device changes from yellow in the reduced state, to iron gray in the neutral state to blue in the oxidized state. This invention can adjust the color and light transmittance of the glass by simply pressing the switch. Through the switch of tiny electricity, the windows of the home are like heat-insulating paper of different shades, which can effectively block the light and heat from entering the room. It is very helpful to save electricity consumption of air-conditioning.
