An anchor with movable arms is composed of a movable and a fixed part. Depending on the position of these elements, all arms of the anchor can be in a folded position or separated from each other by 90 degrees, unfolded position.
Changing the position is simple and is done by moving the movable part in relation to the stationary part depending on the desired position of the anchor arms – more or less folded.
This is achieved by inserting a wedge into the desired opening on the stationary part.
This construction of the anchor significantly reduces the space required for placing the anchor, as well as the risk of injury.
On one side of the peg, a thin rope can be attached to follow the rope attached to the anchor lug. In the event that the anchor gets stuck on the bottom, by pulling a thin rope, the wedge is pulled out of the anchor, the arms are fully spread and the anchor is free to be pulled into the ship.
