The present invention refers to a composite material with antimicrobial and sun protection effect, intended for use in cosmetic applications, consisting of an apatitic material, used as an active ingredient and natural bioactive compounds (such as quercetin or rutin). The procedure for obtaining the composite material consisting of two stages, obtaining the apatitic material by the sol-gel method, respectively obtaining the composite material.
