An interactive picture book for children in lower elementary school. The picture book is made of natural materials such as cotton and wool, depicts useful honey-bearing flowers, describes the characteristics and benefits of each flower in verse, has a QR code that leads to pages with instructions for growing each of the depicted flower types, and contains a packet of honey-bearing flower seeds for planting. THE PICTURE BOOK COMBINES tradition (embroidered flowers), culture (verses), digital technologies (QR code and digital printing), nature (seeds for planting), ecology (natural materials), parent-child interaction (studying and working together), ecological footprint (benefits of gardening), sustainability (biodegradable), innovation (unique on the market), and knowledge (usefulness and cultivation of honey-bearing flowers). The picture book encourages gardening and environmental care, develops knowledge about the benefits of the depicted flowers, and teaches gardening techniques. It was created by combining traditional embroidery and sewing techniques with the use of modern digital tools and digital printing techniques. It is innovative because there is no picture book of this type on the market that is created in this way and that develops children’s knowledge about useful plants, encourages the development of gardening skills and care for the environment.
