We present a unique picture book that bridges the past and the future, tradition and modern technology. “A Touch of Medicinal Herbs” (*Dodir ljekovitim biljem*) is more than just a book—it is a tactile experience and the result of a collaborative effort by creative young minds. What makes this picture book special? It is a veritable treasure trove of skills! It is crafted from natural materials through an innovative blend of traditional techniques—such as hand embroidery that preserves our heritage—and digital applications—a modern approach demonstrating how technology can bring tradition to life. What does “A Touch of Medicinal Herbs” offer? This picture book takes you into the natural world, providing useful and fascinating information about medicinal herbs and nectar-rich flowers. Through its pages, you will learn to recognize the plants that heal and protect our bees. Your task is simple: open the book, feel the textures beneath your fingertips, enjoy the visual depictions of the flowers, and let the verses teach you something new. Who is behind the project? This work is the fruit of an inspiring collaboration between the Young Technicians’ Club at Joža Horvat Elementary School in Kotoriba (students in grades 5–8), as part of the STEM project “ŠTIK UP – A Touch of Herbs in Threads” (led by teacher Jelena Tuksar), and the Čakovec Vocational School (led by teacher Andreja Modrinjak). Through joint STEM workshops, students exchanged ideas and developed practical skills and creativity, all while strengthening their connections with one another and exploring potential future careers.
