In recent years, the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has changed the way people live. However, the aging of the global population is an inevitable trend. Under the dual impact of fewer children and an aging society, the family function has declined, which has led to an increasing demand for home service robots. This study observed that there are a variety of home service robots on the market. For the elderly, the robot itself has too many complicated functions, the cost is too high, it is stressful to use, and it cannot solve daily life affairs. In view of this, this study developed a home light service robot that is easy to use and useful to solve these pain points, and meet the convenience needs of users in life for delivering and picking up items or taking medicines, making life easier and more enjoyable.

The purpose of this research is to reduce the burden of family members or caregivers living with the elderly in their home through the assistance of home-based light service robots, so that the elderly can live healthily and independently and take care of themselves safely. Therefore, this AI home-based light service robot is developed that is simple to operate, easy to use, and can meet the daily life affairs of the elderly.
