Wool, a valuable textile raw material, needs to be washed in order to be further processed into a textile product. In terms of sustainability, the washing process must be carried out with environmentally friendly means. In accordance with the requirements and needs, this research focuses on quantities of wool from family farms and cooperation with associations that cherish traditional values. The innovative wool washing process includes process vessels with rollers for interphase squeezing and a natural agent prepared from the fruit of the indigenous horse chestnut.

In the five-stage washing process, the wool is soaked in clean water, then processed in two cycles in a suspension of horse chestnut fruit at 50 °C, rinsed in warm and cold water.

After the washing process is completed, the wool is spread on a wicker base, all in order to ensure sustainability.
