iSkee is an innovative system that enables blind and partially sighted people to ski independently and safely.

Blind and partially sighted people face the problem of orientation and maintaining direction on the slope, which is why they have to rely entirely on a guide who helps them stay in the middle and follow the path with voice instructions. This way of skiing reduces the level of independence and freedom and increases dependence on another person.

Iskee-iSkee solves this problem by using GPS and sensors that track the skier’s position and, via a vibration motor, provide tactile signals about deviations from the ideal path. In this way, the skier receives immediate feedback and can independently correct the direction, which increases safety and allows for a greater sense of freedom and independence in sports.
