Purpose of Experiment: In order to complete the charging of every electrical bus quickly via wireless charging, batteries have to be improved, which means they need to be fully charged within a minute. Meanwhile, the charging way is to be changed from being fixed to flexible.
Steps:1.Under the guidance of teacher, we got to know electromagnetic induction. However, when it comes to producing voltage across a conductor placed in a changing magnetic field, its result is not as it is expected. Therefore, we would like to make a test with a model.
2.Our idea is to make a 500-meter road, with coils laid 20-30 centimeters beneath. When an electric vehicle passes the “road”, it has two options. One is to run along the road in 20-30 seconds, and it will be charged by 50%. The other option is to let the vehicle stop and stay on the road for a minute, and then the battery will be fully charged. Either way, the whole process will be timed by CCTVs, as basis for fee.
3.Design of the model: 1. to make a 25-centimeter road with wood, and lay 6 coils of 12 volts underneath. 2. to make a electronic vehicle without a battery, but with a motor to receive the electricity from coils.
4.The wireless transmitting distance of the model is between 2-3 centimeters. The vehicle runs forward when the motor is powered by a coil. The law of inertia also keeps vehicle running from one coils to another (of six coils).
This is just an experimental model, and it still takes at least 10 years to go from here to application. When the day wireless vehicle charging technology becomes part of our life, everything is worthwhile.
