Installation for removal of organic pollutants from wastewater based on photocatalysis and biological processes

The purpose of the instalation is to improve the removal efficiency of organic pollutants from wastewater to CO₂ and H₂O by introducing two steps of degradation with synergistic effect, as follows: a) Photocatalytic step – which is based on the degradation of organic pollutants by photo- catalysis performed by TiO₂ semiconductor nanoparticles under the UV radiation action; b) MBBR technology.
